Week one review

They say the hardest thing in life is starting, I can honestly say I’ve put off writing its first-week review a few times. To make this easy for myself I’m just going to list off what’s happened in the last week if there’s anything of real interest I will expand upon that in the weekly review, or I will write a separate blog. Here goes I’ve made it to the gym every day except Saturday, this was due to the British and Irish Lions starting their tour of New Zealand, this is a very interesting topic, but not interesting for this blog, if you want to know more about my feeling for the Lions, buy me a pint and we can talk. I’ve set myself a challenge of reading as many books as possible in this time off, this first week I’m reading a book by the author Anthony Beevor called Ardennes 1944, this was brought for me as a Christmas present by my parents, once I finish this I will review it and I’ll review everything that I read. I have put out a request from Friends, Family and any fo

Reading List

I put a request out for book recommendations on Facebook and Instagram. I see reading books as a luxury. It's something I squeeze into my life, either by grabbing 15 minutes on the train or just before falling asleep in the evening or the classic of the holiday book. With this new found time I am determined to make reading an everyday part of my life. I want reading to be a habit, not a luxury that I squeeze in. The reading list has no genre, but maybe there will be patterns. I already have a backlog of books I need to read, so maybe asking for recommendations is a little optimistic? Introduction or about me

I could title this read me first, but no one ever reads a readme file, so why would people read a readme blog or would they? After that one liner, let's get on with it. This blog is for me to document my transition from the 9 to 5 of the corporate world to my new life, I’m not sure what this is or what it looks like, I do have the idea in my head of setting up my own company, so let’s go with that as a goal, I want to be and entrepreneur, there I said it, it’s been documented. Each week I will do a brief review of my week, I will do additional blogs on things that I feel should be explained in greater depth. Hopefully, by the end of this transition, I can look back and see how the journey was and remind myself of the wins and look at how not to make the same mistakes. I hope you enjoy this, but really this is for Nicola my beautiful wife, thank you for all the support.
